Boston College Law Review

Please submit the following items along with your article:

1. Cover letter that references the article’s title, briefly describes the article, and contains the author’s name, affiliation, and full contact information (including phone number and e-mail address); and
2. Resume, bio, or brief curriculum vitae.

We prefer Microsoft Word format, but will also accept documents in WordPerfect or Adobe Acrobat formats. For other formats, please inquire before submitting.

We do not publish articles by law students currently enrolled at other schools. We reserve space for student-authored works in our volumes for our own students’ work.

If your article has received a formal offer of publication from another journal, we will make every effort to comply with a request for expedited review. We prefer that you use Scholastica’s expedited review function for such requests.

We require all of the following information to process your request for expedited review:

1. Your name and contact information;
2. The title of your article;
3. The source of the competing offer(s); and
4. Your deadline.

Generative AI Submission Policy

The Boston College Law Review acknowledges that generative artificial intelligence (AI) can be a useful tool for legal research and writing, and that some authors will have used it in the course of their work. Although we have adopted a permissive position toward the integration of AI into the process of legal scholarship, we remain committed to publishing only work that reflects the considered judgment of its human authors.

As always, authors are responsible for ensuring the originality and integrity of their scholarship. That responsibility, however, may now require disclosure of any AI tools used in the research, drafting, and editing of their submission. It also expressly includes: (1) ensuring the accuracy of the authorities proffered in support of arguments set forth in their scholarship, and (2) the proper attribution of ideas to their underlying sources in conformity with Rule 18.3, which governs AI-Generated Content and is published in the current (22nd) edition of the Bluebook.
